Handmade Leather Wallet Sample - Horween Chromexcel - Natural

Natural Horween Chromexcel Picture Above.
A leather that typically doesn't need an introduction: Horween Chromexcel.
Combination tanned; meaning it is Chrome Tanned first and then followed up with a Vegetable Tanning process to give Chromexcel it's unique properties and characteristics.
Chromexcel is the original pull-up leather; using time honored techniques and formulas that were developed nearly 100 years ago. Chromexcel is produced in the United States using a bark retannage from a proprietary recipe, and then genuine hot stuffed with Horween's secret blend of natural oils and greases. Chromexcel is characterized by a rich pull-up in full aniline, hand rubbed finishes. Made to this day with old world craftsmanship, modern Chromexcel carries on a long history of superior comfort and durability.
Chromexcel is a unique leather with a unique feel in hand and an incredible pull-up. Incredibly smooth in hand and is a softer leather generally speaking, however it does have a somewhat medium firmness that gives it some body. It is not going to be as stiff as some of our 100% veg tan leather options we offer such as Buttero from the Italian Tannery Conceria Walpier.
Marking/scratch wise, it will mark up easier with use when compared to some of our other options, however it is renown for it's longevity and is well loved as being a fantastic option for a patina rich leather as it is carried, used, etc.
